Fibromyalgia Treatment

It is a subcutaneous muscle and soft tissue disease that usually spreads on the back, but can spread to almost the entire body, causing severe pain when touched.

What is fibromyalgia?

It is a subcutaneous muscle and soft tissue disease that causes severe pain when touched, usually on the back, but can spread to almost the whole body. It is accompanied by fatigue that does not go away with rest, sleep problems that do not allow rest, and sometimes burnout.

Just under our skin are thin but common muscles that we forget to use. Other creatures use these muscles to dry themselves by shaking them when they get wet. The hardening of the muscles that cover this thin but large area is called fibromyalgia.

Severe pain when touched, fatigue that does not go away with rest, and restless sleep, these three problems are the most obvious symptoms of fibromyalgia.

How is it formed?

As these subtle stress factors, which are out of use for us, affect the nervous system, it starts to contract involuntarily. Especially during sleep, when the conscious state is deactivated, the contractions increase. For this reason, the affected areas are painful and swollen, especially in the morning. Although there is partial relief later in the day, the problem in the tissues continues.

As the days pass, the pain leaves its place to the limitation of movement, and in very advanced stages, as a result of deep destruction, the tissue turns into an almost plastic-like hard plaque.

How is the treatment?

The success rate in the treatment of stress-related disorders with acupuncture is quite high.

With acupuncture treatment, not only the pain but also the mental tension at the root of the event is resolved. Sessions, which are frequent at the beginning, become infrequent as the disease goes into remission, that is, as the progression of the disease stops.
