Asthma Treatment

In the case of asthma, there are problems with the mechanisms that control the airways in our lungs. Acupuncture restores these mechanisms to normal and promotes healing.

What Causes Asthma Discomfort? How Is Acupuncture Effective in My Asthma?

In asthma, the airways narrow to a degree that does not allow the patient to breathe comfortably. Although this disorder has genetic aspects, it also has acquired aspects:

1. There is a familial predisposition.

2. However, there are also environmental factors that facilitate the avalanche of this allergic susceptibility.

The strong stresses experienced are at the forefront of these factors. Afterwards, due to pollen, house dust or any other reason, the airways and air sacs in the lungs begin to narrow. As this condition recurs, it settles down and eventually settles as an asthma disease.

This situation is repeated when an allergic factor is encountered for the patient’s body. The disease progresses with recurrent attacks. Sometimes, these exacerbations can be experienced with the secret allergic substances secreted by the body itself, without any external allergic factor.

When the basis of the discomfort is reached, it is seen that the balances between the two basic reflex systems in the body are disturbed. These are the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems. Asthma is a disorder in which the parasympathetic system is more active than the sympathetic system.

is essential to re-establish the balance between the systems by stimulating the sympathetic system. The drugs used in the treatment are drugs developed in this direction. This balancing effort with drugs can give a result as long as the drugs are used. As soon as the drugs are stopped, the disease renews. This is the reason why asthma is classified as chronic diseases. It has not been possible until today to achieve a full recovery within modern medicine.

Asthma treatment with acupuncture;

Acupuncture addresses the problem in a deeper mechanism than drugs. Since there is no abnormal factor, the airways in the lungs narrow in an environment that is easily tolerated by everyone. So there is a problem with the mechanism that controls the airways in our lungs. The criteria in our brain are broken and the airways in the lungs are set to a narrower level than they should be.

So the permanent result can be obtained by correcting the deteriorated criterion. As in hypertension, acupuncture progresses in asthma by normalizing these criteria. On the other hand, while the parasympathetic system is suppressed, the sympathetic system is stimulated and this balance is established with repetitive sessions. It is possible to achieve complete healing with a total of 12 sessions of 6 weeks of treatment, mostly from 2 sessions a week.

Cure rate of the disease is also extremely high. The frequency of recurrence of the disease after the treatment is stopped is almost none within a year. After one year, three sessions supportive treatment is given. The effect thus obtained is made more entrenched. A subsequent one session of supportive treatment is usually sufficient to end the disease.
