Allergic rhinitis is caused by the overreaction of our defense cells in our nasal mucous membranes. Acupuncture balances this excess.
What is allergic rhinitis?
Allergic rhinitis is considered partly a genetic problem. For this reason, familial predisposition is mentioned. Substances such as pollen and house dust, which do not cause any problems in another individual, cause allergies in individuals with familial predisposition. Allergy is actually a defense mechanism. However, in the allergic individual, this defense mechanism has become overreactive. The imbalance of the nervous system was added to this problem and the problem turned into a chaotic situation.
Allergy is a defense mechanism. However, with the imbalance in the autonomic nervous system in the allergic individual, this defense mechanism has become overreactive.
The substances in the air we breathe, to which we are hypersensitive, cause a reaction in our nasal mucosa. The inside of the nose becomes hot, red and edematous. Mild itching triggers the sneeze reflex, and the edema further increases, causing leakage. In this case, a runny nose is added to the sneezing problem. In the future, the substances secreted by the defense cells completely swell our nose, and we have difficulty in breathing.
How is the treatment?
Acupuncture is a treatment method that balances all physical and mental extremes.
Balance is restored by successive regulative touches. Edema is resolved by eliminating the excess, which is the cause of the allergic problem. The sinuses, whose entrances and exits are narrowed due to allergies and edema, are relieved. The sense of smell intensifies.
How many sessions is the treatment done?
Allergic rhinitis treatment usually provides the desired results around 12 sessions.
After a year or so, a reminder therapy is administered about one-third of the first treatment session. It does not require treatment for many years afterwards.
