What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy, after the diagnosis of the disease, is the method of injecting the drug mixture, which is selected for the target organ and for the purpose of treatment, in small doses locally, using special needles and with a special technique.

What is Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy takes its name from the middle layer of the skin called the mesoderm and includes interventional treatments for this layer of the skin. It is the method of injecting the drug mixture, which is selected for the target organ and for the purpose of treatment, in small doses locally, using special needles and with a special technique, after the diagnosis of the disease is made.

After the application, the drug reaches the capillary tips in the middle layer of the skin and shows its effect quickly. In the mesotherapy method, a few well-chosen and well-placed drops of medication provide a well-tolerated efficacy with minimal risk and expense. High efficiency is achieved with low-dose drug injections made in this region where absorption is slow, as in the slow melting of the snow in winter, and the saturation of the soil with water. The active ingredients that are slowly absorbed and spread to the environment turn into an uninterrupted and intense therapy.

Mesotherapy targets the treatment of regional organ pathologies with tiny injections into the mesoderm layer of the skin.

Aesthetic mesotherapy, on the other hand, is the expression of methods that compensate for the sagging of the facial skin with advancing age and repair loosening without surgery.

What are the substances used in the treatment?

In modern medicine, all of the drugs applied intramuscularly or intravenously can be used in mesotherapy. The active ingredient for the patient’s problem can be determined by the physician, or it can be applied with the mesotherapy method by choosing more than one active ingredient and mixing it with the right techniques.

In aesthetic applications, substances or mixtures that are not within the scope of drugs, that stimulate collagen synthesis or that contain collagen directly, and which are produced entirely for the mesotherapy method are also included in the application.

Since the type and number of applications for each problem will vary, the physician determines how many sessions will be applied according to the type of the disease.

In which countries is it used?

In France, where it was first discovered and still has the highest application rate, mesotherapy is mostly used in painful pathologies of the skeletal system that restrict movement. Migraine, which is also a pain problem, is one of the areas where mesotherapy is frequently applied. Today, it can be said that the frequency and variety of aesthetic applications preclude pain treatment. Currently, it is applied by physicians in European countries such as France, England, Germany, Spain, as well as in countries such as South America, Japan, and in our country.
